GWR team qualify to represent England in the home nations 2018 in Jersey. Thierry Sarkissian finished Runner-Up of 56 players in the National Ranking Singles.
A coaching day was held at Filton PC with Chris Garratt and Thierry Sarkissian. It was an excellent and enjoyable day. It started with the theory of basic technique and moved on to games to practise the theory with the emphasis on shooting. This also gave the chance of being coached and watched by the coaches. The day was very well though out and thanks goes to Chris and Thierry and Filton PC for hosting the day.
GWR Members at EPA Home Nations 2015
Congratulations to Rob Arthur and Trevor Gibb who were members of the Gotherington All Stars who won this years Cotswold League Play Off's. They beat Upton Saints who were runners up for 2016. This years plate was won by Saxons 2.

Congratulations to the GWR regional team who defeated Devon 17-13 in the recent contest held at the ISCA Centre in Exeter. They managed to retain the South West Title with an excellent days play by all the team.
Congratulations to Ken Barnes, Chris Spray and Clive de Silva who retained their GWR Triples Title for 2017. In a close final they beat Lee Herring, Phil and Jan Weaver 13-8.
Congratulations to Thierry Sarkissian for winning the GWR Single Title for 2017.
He also scored 35 in the first round of the shooting event which is the current GWR record.
Runner up in the singles was Andy Briggs and third place went to Rob Arthur
Congratulations to Chris Spray and Clive de Silva who retained their GWR Mixed Doubles title for 2017. They beat Ali and Charlie Brown in the final. Phil and Jan Weaver were the plate winners.
Congratulations to Clive de Silva and Thierry Sarkissian who retained their GWR Doubles title for 2017. In a tense and close final they beat Mo Annane and Martyn Brooks 13-12. Norman Crowther and Alan McInnes beat Tony and Jean Milner in the plate final.
Congratulations to Jacquii Anderson and Alan McInnes who won the GWR over 50’s title. They overcame Norman Crowther and Paul Adams in the final. Lee Herring and Chris Garratt were in third place

Bath Grand Cru
Recent success for the club includes qualifying for the last 16 in the EPA EuroCup. The Grand Cru players also won the Brunel league 2016 for the first time and they added to that success in the Bath Thursday League with both the teams gaining promotion from their respective divisions. Various squad players represented the region in the Regional Championships with Chris Garratt, Peter Ostli-East and Thierry Sarkissian being the regions number one team. Chris and Peter went on also to reach the quarter finals of the EPA Champion of Champions doubles . A great 2016 season for the squad.
